Culture medium, rapid staphylococcus aureus plates, provide results that are equivalent to the combined 3 plate baired parker agar method and tube coagulase test in a single test procedure; results are fast and confirmed in as soon as 26 hours versus 69 hours required by conventional testing; sample ready culture system which consists of a petrifilm rsa plate and a 3m petrifilm thermostable nuclease reactive disk; rsa plate contains modified baird-parker nutrients with a cold water soluble gelling agent, and the reactive disk contains dna, toltuidine blue-o, and a tetrazolium indicator that facilitates colony enumeration and confirmation of the presence of a staphylococcal thermostable nuclease. Made for use in food and dairy industries, made at an iso 9002 certified site and are decontaminated but not sterilized; must be referigerated
