W by 0.062 in deep centered onshaft end, second shaft steel with groove 0.028 in. W by 0.230 in. Dia, 0.005 r max in bottom corners, 1.078 in. Lg, inner shaft ceramic grade l-3 silicon varnish, 0.624 in. Lg, 0.218 in. Dia, press fit between ceramic and stainless steel shafts, steel shafts must withstand- 5 inch-pounds of torque with no movement of ceramic shaft - impact force of 20 inch-pounds with ceramic tightly held - a tensile force of 75 pounds without loosening from ceramic shaft - assembled shaft must withstand repeated cycling from minus 65 degrees c to plus 350 degrees c without distorting or fracturing the ceramic
