Fluid, sea water; absolutely no grease/lubrication is to be used on the shaft during installation; compression tools must be removed after the compression has been set and before starting unit; the inflatable seal can be activated only w/shift stationary; under normal operating conditions the inflatable seal should be continually vented to prevent accidential activation; the inflatable seal is activated w/air pressure at 40-60 psig; the seal should be vented prior to start up by temporarily installing one compression tool and screw, remove compression tool immediately after water begins to spray from between seal faces
